The Reynolds Law Firm, P.A., located in Fort Scott, Kansas, was founded in 1992 by Zackery E. Reynolds. His father, George S. Reynolds, a District Judge for many years, initially was associated "Of Counsel" with the firm. Zackery (who goes by "Zack") practices with a staff of two paralegals in an office located at 102 South Judson.
Zack began practicing in 1982, after graduating from Washburn Law School, with honors, at the age of 23. Since that time he has practiced primarily in the civil trial arena, with a significant estate, trust and business practice. He has tried over fifty jury trials to verdict, in twelve different Kansas Counties and in Federal Court. He was recently admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court during induction ceremonies in Washington, D.C. on April 28, 2008.
His significant commitment to the bar and ethics has continued since he began practicing in 1982. He has held several offices in the Kansas Bar Association, including the honor of serving as its President in 1999, after winning two contested state-wide elections in the association. He was the youngest bar president in the association's proud 125 year history. His commitment to ethics includes membership in the association's Ethics Grievance Committee since 1983, including 1993-1996 when he served as the Chair of the committee. He won the association's Outstanding Service Award in 1992 (an award also given to his father in 1970).
His practice includes representation in all state and federal courts in Eastern Kansas and Western Missouri. He has also handled over eighty appeals and has nearly twenty published cases.
The Reynolds Law Firm, P.A. also has two certified paralegals, Shawnee L. Clary and Ida L. Ford, who have nearly forty years of combined experience as legal assistants.
